Catholic Schools week will be celebrated January 29 - February 4th. The theme for this year's celebration of Catholic Schools is "Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service". Please join us in celebrating Catholic Schools this week!
Sunday, Jan. 29 - St. Joseph School Board will sponsor a kick-off country style breakfast in the school gym from 8:00 a.m.- noon. Please mark your calendars to attend! The breakfast is open to the public. Salisbury Knights of Columbus will host their annual Basketball Free Throw Contest at 1:00 p.m. in the school gym. The contest is open to all boys and girls ages 10-14 as of January 1, 2017. Contestants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate.
Monday, Jan. 30 – Pajama Day – Students may wear pajamas and will have paired reading and board games in the gym along with the Box Tops reward.
Tuesday, Jan. 31 –- Career Day – Student Council will lead a morning prayer service at 8:00 a.m. Students may dress for a career in which they plan to change the world! St. Joe alumni will come in and talk to students during the day.
Wednesday, Feb. 1– Parents’ Day - All school Mass at 8:00 a.m. Students have a Dress Up Day. Parents are invited to eat lunch with their children at 11:30 a.m. Grades 5-8 have a Geography Bee in the gym and K-4 have Bible Story Bees in their classrooms.
Thursday, Feb. 2 –Service Day and $1 Dress Down Day - All school Mass at 8:00 a.m. Dress down proceeds go toward sending a veteran on a Central Missouri Honor Flight. Students will play Minute to Win It.
Friday, Feb. 3 – School Spirit Day – Students are encouraged to dress in St. Joseph spirit wear or blue and white attire. All school Mass at 8:00 a.m. Eighth graders will present a Global Village and fourth graders will present a Wax Museum in the gym at 9:30. Students will participate in our annual game day with 5/6 grade volleyball game (1:30-2:00), K-4 bombardment game (2:00-2:30), 7/8 grade basketball game (2:30-3:00) and faculty vs. 7/8 in bombardment (3:00-3:15).
Saturday, Feb. 4 – Our junior high students will perform in a 6:30 p.m. dinner theatre entitled “Murder in the Malt Shop.” Tickets may be purchased through January 27th from Kelly Massie or Lori Brown.
